Been searching Mr. Google for a decent beach near our place in Pili, CamSur. I thought of Subic Beach in Matnog, Sorsogon or the Black Sand Beach in Bacacay, Legazpi City. But those were far from our home, we have baby Nicky and some elders onboard so I decided to scrap the idea. Then I came across the White Pebble Beach in Balingoan, Minalabac.
Beware though, if you’re not ready for a bumpy ride, please think twice. Going there is a roller coaster ride! The roads were still under construction, steep slopes and it’s around two hours travel from San Vicente, Pili.

It was not a disappointment to try the Pebble Beach. Unlike the fine sands of other white beaches, the pebble beach gives a tickling thrill on our feet.

Enjoyed a very fine day with my family and friends. Not only us, but also the kids who joined us during our snorkeling. The young brothers Jenson and Henry were so happy when they tried the snorkels. Every time they lift their heads from the water, all teeth smiles greeted us. To my delight, I gave them my old diving mask. Priceless feeling when I saw their cheery faces.

Some locals said that sometimes, Butanding appears in the area. Hmmm, that explains why Donsol now have lower Butanding sightings. The gentle giants migrates to Cebu or to other places which can feed them. I still hope to see them, and the mantas.
